Aloe Vera(Ghrit Kumari in Hindi) is of genus Aloe. It grows in tropical climates used both in agricultural and medicinal purposes. It is used in beverages, skin lotions, ointments for burns and as a cosmetic. Aloe Vera is a stemless plant of about 60-100 cm spreading by offsets. Its leaves are greeny, fleshy and thick.

Aloe Vera contains something called proteolytic enzymes which helps in rejuvenating dead skin cells. With age, wrinkles and fine lines also come and this is countered by Aloe vera. It makes the hair smooth and shiny as it is a good conditioning agent. Aloe vera is great for oily and acne-prone skin as it acts as an effective moisturizer and not only does it work against acnes but also against blemishes and scars. Patanjali Almond Kesar soap

Kesar(Saffron) is used to increase skin glow, skin brightness. It removes tan, tones the skin and anti-acne. Mixing basil leaves with saffron and applying the paste removes acne and pimples. Soaking saffron in milk and applying the milk on face gives way to a beautiful fair skin. Applying the mixture of saffron with honey on face will stimulate blood circulation. This provides oxygen and if this is regularly applied it paves way for a glowing skin.
Soaked Almonds act as nature's moisturizer and also to regain lost skin glow and to improve skin tone. Vitamin E and other antioxidants help prevent aging by combating free radicals. The product is packed in a round plastic bottle with the hologram which validates that it is indeed a genuine Patanjali product. Patanjali after much research has formulated the processing of sugar, almonds, other herbs and spices.

The powder kind of satiates the appetite a bit because of much sugar in it and hence is not recommended for diabetic patients. I could see that it increased my appetite and a mild craving for food started in me. This is a very good aphrodisiac for issueless couples and those seeking conjugal bliss; and the properties and gunas of this product goes hand in hand with Patanjali chyawanprash. It can be taken with milk as it traditionally used to be. This would reduce the feeling of a little heat as also in chyawanprash. All in all this product is conducive for good health of the body.

Patanjali neem body cleanser

Neem water helps in clearing acne, pigmentation, scars and blackheads. It lightens skin blemishes and treats dry skin. It also delays aging of the skin and also cures dark circle problems. Neem leaves moisturize the skin and makes it soft. Mixing turmeric with neem paste helps in curing many skin infections. 
                                 

                           

Patanjali has after much research processed neem oil into a soap. The packaging is as per the price - very simple. The soap cake is dark green in colour and has a neem odour itself. It is best to use this soap in winter as it gives a kind of heat that is not so suitable to use in summer. Patanjali Anti-bacterial herbal handwash

Handwashing is cleaning hands to remove soil, dirt, oil and microbes. Patanjali has unvieled a new handwashing product after much research. The container comes with a slightly obtuse rectangular bottle. A hologram validates the authenticity of the product. It is to be stored in a cool, dark and dry environment. The texture is of light pink and it gives much lather from which we can easily wash and rinse our hands.

 One important advantage of this product as against its counterparts is the after wash lather content on the hand is very less. Because what happens with other products like Palmolive etc is that there is a slight lather on hand even after rinsing hands. Patanjali products have therefore displayed that they are a step ahead of other ones in terms of quality and also in pricing. The principal constituents of this shampoo is of neem(2 ml) and Tulsi(2 ml) in every 10ml.

Patanjali Chyawanprash

Let's witness what Charak samhita has to say about Chyawanprash in verses 70-74
70 - It is a great tonic for lungs, helps in respiratory and cough problems. It helps in growth of children and adults alike and reverses aging.
71- It supports the vocal chords, nurtures the sapta dhatus(plasma, blood, muscle, fat, bone, marrow, reproductive tissue) and the heart. It takes care of excessive thirst, blood and semen nourisher and vata dosha pacifier. It helps the urinary tract and also pacifies the aggravated doshas in it.
72 - It replenishes the vitality of all people making the old young and the young even more stronger. It is not to be taken at night as its excess energy prevents one from sleeping.
73 - It increases glow and complexion of skin, intelligence and memory. It keeps the body disease free, increases lifespan and is a very good aphrodisiac. It also enlivens digestive fire(Jataragni), increases overall radiance and pacifies apana vata.
74 - It acts as a kayakalpa(youthful skin, strength, removal of old age, reclaiming beauty and rejuvenation)
Patanjali has formulated a recipe of Chyawanprash after much research. It is helpful for students as it good for memory power and intelligence. It is a must for those who want to keep their body fit, healthy and youthful. One can feel the ushna(fire) in the stomach as soon as it is consumed. Therefore, it is good to consume it in winter. If consumed more than 1 teaspoon or heavily, one may find himself a run to the toilet. However, it is not recommended for those who have diabetes. There is regular and special chyawanprash available. There is no much difference except that in special chyawanprash there is saffron. Saffron is a good aphrodisiac and is helpful in controlling blood pressure.

Patanjali Milk Protein Shampoo

Patanjali shampoos last really long and this one's no exception(it lasted for 6 months for me). This shampoo works good both on rough and soft hair. It solves or atleast greatly reduces problems like split ends, hairfall, dryness and roughness. My hair has turned silkier(I have a rough curly hair) than before. It can be used on all types of hair unlike aloe vera shampoo and shikakai Patanjali shampoos which is preferable only on soft hair. It's advisory to keep the shampoo applied for 2-3 minutes before rinsing off completely.
The colour of shampoo is glossy white and has a scented odour. The shampoo's texture is runny and mild unlike Garnier Fructis varieties. A hologram on the front portion of the cover of shampoo validates the product. There would be no need of conditioner after using this shampoo as this shampoo itself acts as a good conditioning agent besides solving dandruff woes.
