Aloe Vera(Ghrit Kumari in Hindi) is of genus Aloe. It grows in tropical climates used both in agricultural and medicinal purposes. It is used in beverages, skin lotions, ointments for burns and as a cosmetic. Aloe Vera is a stemless plant of about 60-100 cm spreading by offsets. Its leaves are greeny, fleshy and thick.

It makes the hair smooth and shiny as it is a good conditioning agent. Aloe vera is great for oily and acne-prone skin as it acts as an effective moisturizer and not only it works against acnes but also against blemishes and scars. It acts against wounds and insect bits as it anti-inflammatory. Due to its soothing nature it helps against sunburns. Aloe gel when mixed with castor oil helps in promoting hair growth. It removes dandruff and also balances pH of hair. Patanjali after much research has processed Aloe vera into shampoo which is a boon to soft hair. Unlike other shampoos, this product of Patanjali comes with a transparent bottle(I wonder why). The consistency is medium thick and light green in colour. It has a earthy and herby smell and hence feels good while applying. In my experience, it is not so conducive to rough hair. It is very inexpensively priced at 90/- for 200ml and it lasts really long(it took 6 months for me to empty the bottle).
